Heys!
I just went for my annual shooting at the IMT centre for NCC. Ive been looking forward to it the whole week! i thought it was on Friday but it turned out to be on a Monday and I didnt bring my Uniform! liuckily, the Ncc LANd room had spares and the fitted perfectly! so of i go. at 11.45, we left lessons early and set of for the toilet to get changed into our Uniforms. after twenty minutes or so, we finished changing and headed down to the canteen for lunch. WE HAD to be at the foyer by 12.30 so we had alot of time. by 12-30, every cadet was there and we all fell-in. at 12.45, we boarded the bus and of we went to the IMT centre. when we were there, we found out that there were other schools which will be joining us. we also learnt that if we pass the test, we get to shoot live rounds. that means real guns and real bullets! i hoped i pass. was quite confident as i got superior aiming skills and i knew the breathing technique. i couldnt wait to shoot the target! we entered ta air-conditioned room for briefing. then, we were assingned our lane number and of we went to the shooting lanes. we went on our prone position and mounted our M-16 rifles. We had 20 rounds to fire and the target is as tiny as your fingernail! it was soo hard to see! After the shoot, our Sargeants announced our scores. out of the 22 who participated from our school, 9 passed. and i was one of them! yay! i scored 10 out of 16. i dint get marksmanship as i was two points away but i still got to shoot live rounds! what more could i ask for. we went back with smiles on our face as we knew we did a job well done.
